South Carolina
100% American-made South Carolina state flags
On May 23, 1788, South Carolina became the eighth state to enter the United States. Always a story of tenacity, South Carolina took several attempts to colonize and was later the first to secede prior to the Civil War, where it hosted more of the hostilities than any other state. South Carolina was, of course, restored to the Union and has been a beacon of American history, culture, and commerce ever since!
