A Fourth of July to Remember 2024

Independence Day 2024

In 2024, the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular was as big as ever, with five barges full of explosive splendor putting on a show from the Hudson River in NYC.

“4th of July Fireworks Spectacular” from New York City, 2024

The 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular from New York City was in full force as the nation’s largest Independence Day fireworks show. More than 50,000 pounds of fireworks are usually launched from the Brooklyn Bridge and from barges on the East River every year. This year, however, the show was launched from the west side of New York City and the Hudson River.

The first video below is the complete 26-minute NYC fireworks show, including the live grand finale from Thursday night, and fireworks kick off just seconds into the video. The fireworks can be clearly seen and heard, and the occasional "oohs" and "aahs" of the crowd gathered along the Hudson are fun to take in...

The second video is the 15-minute fireworks show from the National Mall in Washington D.C. in tandem with the annual A Capitol Fourth live music show. Fireworks begin at 1:09:33 of the video.

Plus, we have added a list of popular patriotic songs often heard around this celebratory time of year. View our list of patriotic music — maybe there's a new song to add to your own playlist!
