Whitelist Liberty Flags, The American Wave® Emails

Welcome!

The Mystery of Windspeeds with LIBERTY FLAGS, The American Wave®

Thank you for joining our email list (if you haven't joined our list yet and would like to, please use the quick form at the bottom of this page).

Our goal is to send meaningful emails that contain information our readers can use.

We send two kinds of emails —

  1. A general, once-weekly email aimed at providing helpful information to flag flyers.
  2. Notices when there is a call for American flags to be flown at half-staff.
    1. Oklahoman residents may also request state-level half-staff notices.

You can always edit your email preferences using the link at the bottom any email newsletter that we send.

One Small Request

Be sure to add LibertyFlags.com to your email contacts list and/or your "Whitelist."

A "Whitelist" is a list of email addresses or domains that an email service provider or recipient has designated as trusted or approved senders

By whitelisting specific email addresses or domains, recipients can ensure that they receive communications from trusted sources without the risk of those messages being mistakenly flagged as spam or diverted to an incorrect inbox folder.

Need Help Adding Us?

Here are different instructions for different email clients, which we update periodically.

Apple Mail (OS X and iOS devices)

Both Apple Mail on OSX and Mail on iOS devices have a similar process for adding senders to Contacts. By selecting the From, or Reply-to on an email message, you can choose to “Add to Contacts” or “Add to VIPs.”

The advantage of “Add to VIPs” is that future emails from LIBERTY FLAGS, The American Wave® will be added to a special VIP mailbox in iOS Mail.

Outlook 20XX

In your inbox (where the list of emails populates), right-click on the message you want to whitelist. From the menu that appears, navigate to "Block," then select "Never Block Sender" or "Never Block Sender's Domain (@example.com)." This is the quickest way to add a sender.

Outlook.com

After opening an email message, click the three dots (...) menu in the top right corner. From there, select "Add to safe senders." This ensures the sender's emails aren't sent to the Junk folder.

Yahoo! Mail

To add a sender to your contacts, open the email and click the three vertical dots (...) at the top. From the dropdown, select "Add sender to contacts." If a "Save" option appears, click it.

Gmail (Webmail and mobile)

Getting all future emails from a sender to appear in the “Primary” tab (instead of “Promotions”, or elsewhere) is a quick, two-step process.

For webmail, right-click on the email in the inbox view. From the menu, select the "Move to" tab, then choose "Primary."

For Gmail on mobile devices, manually move an email to a different tab by long-pressing the email in the inbox, tap the three dots (...) menu, and select "Move to,"" then choose Primary."

Android (Default client)

On Android devices, open the email message and touch the picture of the sender that displays before the message. Tap “Add to Contacts.”

AOL Mail

Open the email and click the three vertical dots (...) at the top. From the dropdown menu, select "Add sender to contacts."

What if Emails are Still Arriving Late or Being Blocked?

If our emails are not arriving according to the schedule even after you've whitelisted our email address or domain from within your email-viewing environment, there are a few additional factors to consider.

Many businesses use advanced email security software, network firewalls, or other security appliances that can override personal email settings. Often, these security appliances will slow, redirect, or block emails simply on the basis that they come from an email service provider, even when they are safe.

If you have followed the steps to add us to your contact list and emails are still not appearing, one of those may be causing the issue. We recommend contacting your IT professional and asking them to "whitelist" or "safelist" our domain.

Please provide your IT professional with the following information:

  • Our domain: https://LibertyFlags.com
  • The email service provider (ESP) we use: GetResponse
  • The GetResponse IP address ranges for whitelisting:
    • 104.160.64.0/24
    • 104.160.65.0/24
    • 104.160.67.128/25
    • 104.160.68.224/27
    • 104.160.69.0/26

Your IT professional may need to configure security settings on your company's network or email security solution. Providing them with our domain and the specific IP ranges will help them configure their systems to accept emails from us, bypassing any security rules that might be blocking the messages.
