Day of Remembrance for President Abraham Lincoln

April 15, 2015 is a Day of Remembrance for President Abraham Lincoln

On April 14, 2015, President Barack Obama proclaimed that April 15, 2015 would be a Day of Remembrance for President Abraham Lincoln. The day was so named to honor Lincoln's life and legacy with appropriate programs, ceremonies, and activities.

The President has also called upon the Governors of the United States and its Territories, and appropriate officials of all units of government, to direct that the flag be flown at half-staff on the Day of Remembrance for President Abraham Lincoln. Lastly, the President urges all Americans to display the flag at half-staff from their homes and businesses on April 15.

The full proclamation can be read here.
