FAQ: Dealing With a Broken Liberty Flagpole

At LIBERTY FLAGS we understand that maintaining an honorable flag presentation is at the top of your priority list when it comes to this beautiful national symbol.  Because of this, it is also at the top of ours.

Following heavy winds and storms in the midwest, we received this question from a concerned flag flyer.

Q: "I had a 20' flagpole that broke off about 3' above the ground during recent high winds. It was about 2" diameter and came in 4 or 5 sections. Is it possible to buy a replacement section?"

A: LIBERTY FLAGS does not sell replacement sections for 20' Liberty residential flagpoles. While most 20' sectional flagpoles appear the same, the sections do not always fit.

The tapered end and gauge of aluminum varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. In addition, some manufacturers build the pole with 5-sections and others with 4-section.

It is possible to simply remove the bent or broken section and continue to fly your flag from the now shorter flagpole.
