Summer in the city

Summer in the city

Summer sun exposure is hard on your American Flag.

Hot. Hot. Hot. Though June 20 marks the first day of summer 2017, many of us have already been feeling the heat of the summer sun for quite some time now. So, too, are our American flags. One of the more damaging elements that the American flag endures is exposure to the sun.

The fading sun

Consider this interesting fact: Five of the six American flags planted on the moon are still standing. Each of those five flags is now white from exposure to the sun’s rays. Granted, the level of radiation outside of the Earth's atmosphere is much, much greater, but the point remains that exposure to the sun will cause the colors of the flag to fade.

Rugged WaveCrest™ Polyester American flag overview video

It is fitting then, that at the start of the season, our flag of focus is not only our most durable flag, but also one of our more colorfast flags: the Rugged WaveCrest™ Polyester American flag. Once more, we present our popular video overview of the WaveCrest™ Polyester American flag, including its benefits and recommended uses. We also invite you to view more product and informational videos in the LIBERTY FLAGS video library.

Plus, 3' x 5' to 6' x 10' sizes of the WaveCrest™ Polyester American flags.
