• The SKYSCAPE flagpole comes with a heavy duty revolving sealed bearing truck. The stainless steel sealed lubricant bearings and aluminum pulley eliminates the need for costly repairs. A revolving truck is the component atop of the flagpole which houses the pulley and assists with raising and lowering the flag.  It also revolves and moves with the wind enabling the flag to not wrap up around the flagpole. Industry standard revolving trucks are manufactured with a nylon pulley and stainless steel balls on cast aluminum races - which will cut ruts in the races, thus wearing out! The time required to service and replace this type of truck is costly.  So, why not have the best in the first place?
• The SKYSCAPE flagpole comes with a cast aluminum collar which is considerably stronger, will not bend or dent and has an overall attractive appearance. A flash collar fits over the ground sleeve at bottom of a pole to protect it from the weather and to give the base a finished look. Industry standard flash collars are thin spun aluminum which dent and bend easily. Once installed, the flash collar is not easily replaced. The appearance of a damaged flash collar ruins the overall look of the base. So, why not have the best in the first place?

• Wind speed means the movement of air in an outside environment. Movement can be affected by many factors including geographic location, weather, pressure gradient and jet streams. High winds can cause unpleasant side effect.
• Select an appropriate strength flagpole for the wind zone area where the flagpole will be displayed.
• Flag size and wind force are used to determine the load on a flagpole resulting in the flagged and unflagged mile per hour wind speed rating.
